He kept standing there saying "hot, hot." I just kept waiting for him to knock it over and his mom having to shell out $90 for a shattered fountain. I always get nervous, taking little kids into a shop filled with breakable figurines. Especially tacky, over-priced Asian knockoffs.

Oh, pumpkin carving is a fun but messy business. The kids really seemed to enjoy it though, as did my girlfriend and our friend Jen. We did 6: two for Jen (a Yoda silhouette and a ghost) and then four for our patio. We haven't lit them at all, and now the kids are with their father for the weekend, so they may remain unlit. But it was a good time.
